I bite my nails but i want acrylics. I removed the nails after the bad reaction and waited about a year. I dont know if it is just me but that is my story Mrs Pickerton June 24 2009. Therefore we need to find our own way of filling in the acrylics as our natural nails grow.

This is not an uncommon problem after years of acrylics so dont worry you are not alone. We find that the majority of nail biters come to us to regain pride in their own nails and by spending time and money on them the last thing trhey want to do when they go home is bite them again. So I got my nails done at a salon with acrylic tips.

I want to stop and just grow my own healthy nails but I bite them without even thinking about it. Im sure there are products gels etc out there that are less damaging to the natural nail than acrylics and the like but in my experience ANY unnatural layer that smothers the nail bed WILL cause. As an alternative to acrylics some experts recommend a short-term nail biting defense using fake nails.

Thus I successfully brought the infection into my finger. If you are desperate to cover up an unsightly ridge then file the fake nails down. They are fiddly to do but well worth it xxx.
